IT Technician

Our client is seeking a dedicated IT Technician to deliver exceptional service and maintain high-quality IT systems for their clientele. In this full-time role, the IT Technician will play a crucial part in the efficient management of all operational tasks, ensuring all systems are monitored and responded to proactively. The position requires a commitment to professionalism as you log, troubleshoot, and escalate alerts while maintaining effective communication with clients. This role offers an opportunity for growth within a collaborative and innovative environment.

Job Duties:

  • Promptly log, troubleshoot, and escalate alerts according to established procedures.
  • Follow departmental procedures to ensure all tasks are executed proficiently and within the agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Efficiently allocate and administer all support calls.
  • Conduct essential business checks for various clients prior to their scheduled opening hours.
  • Document and regularly update all technical operations processes and procedures.
  • Assist in compiling and preparing monthly service reports for clients as requested by the line manager.
  • Perform regular security patching for multiple clients, using both manual and automatic methods as necessary.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Service Desk staff on a rotating shift pattern to ensure round-the-clock operational capacity.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required to meet business needs.

Job Requirements:

  • High levels of integrity, honesty, motivation, and professionalism.
  • Ability to adapt to change with a positive approach.
  • Good time management skills and a structured, methodical approach to work.
  • Effective communication skills, demonstrating a strong customer service ethos.
  • Previous customer service-related experience is desirable.
  • Excellent computer literacy with a solid understanding of Microsoft products.
  • Good problem-solving and organisational skills, coupled with attention to detail.
  • Ability to make decisions independently or in collaboration with others, as needed.
  • High levels of motivation, persistence, and a positive attitude are essential.
