Relationship Manager, Trust

Our client is seeking a dedicated Relationship Manager – Trust to oversee a diverse portfolio of clients. This vital role is essential for ensuring that clients receive exceptional service and that their trusts are managed efficiently within established guidelines. As a pivotal member of the team, the Relationship Manager will work closely with clients and their advisors, ensuring that all requirements and expectations are met to foster long-term relationships. This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Director.

Job Duties:

  • Attend meetings with clients and their advisors, including bankers, lawyers, accountants, agents, or consultants, to discuss client matters.
  • Ensure clients’ needs are met and their portfolios are managed effectively.
  • Conduct client visits as per service level agreements and risk review profiles.
  • Drive client acquisition through on-boarding, risk rating, CDD collection, and sign-off.
  • Support business development efforts by achieving sales targets and generating new business leads.
  • Regularly review clients in line with the business risk profile process.
  • Maximise client profitability while fostering retention and growth.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, as well as legal and regulatory obligations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the administration team.
  • Meet deadlines tied to assigned portfolios while adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain an up-to-date client database by promptly recording changes.
  • Complete timesheets accurately and in a timely manner.

Job Requirements:

  • Significant experience in the trust industry.
  • A relevant professional qualification.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and versatility in a changing work environment.
  • Strong ethical standards in behaviour and decision-making.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Client-centric approach, anticipating and meeting client needs effectively.
  • Leadership capabilities to influence and motivate colleagues towards achieving results.
