Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join the Private Client team in Jersey on a permanent, hybrid/onsite basis for 35 hours per week. This specialist team supports wealthy families, family offices, and owner-managed businesses. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of trust structures, deliver high-quality service, mentor junior team members, and drive operational improvements. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge of trust structures, a proactive mindset, and a collaborative approach.
Job Duties:
- Manage a portfolio of private clients across a variety of structures in close collaboration with your team.
- Act as a subject matter expert on trust structures, staying up to date with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and business partners, communicating openly and professionally.
- Identify and implement ideas to improve daily task efficiencies and support financial processes, including aged debt reviews and cash collections.
- Mentor and supervise junior team members, providing guidance and support.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities across service lines and jurisdictions.
- Ensure accurate time recording for client matters to support billing and recovery.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar trust administration role.
- Studying towards or holding a relevant professional qualification (e.g., CGI, STEP or equivalent).
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Strong academic background.
- Proactive and forward-thinking.
- Broad understanding of fiduciary products.
