Senior Project Manager

Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and drive the implementation of a major project aimed at delivering a new front-to-back investment platform. This strategic initiative is designed to transform investment operations by integrating front-office advisory tools with back-office processing, ultimately providing a seamless, end-to-end solution. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring project delivery is on time, within scope, and meets quality standards through the application of best practice project management skills and techniques. Leading both cross-functional teams and the direct project team, the Senior Project Manager will engage stakeholders to deliver scalable business solutions. Post-implementation, the candidate will also manage the applications and solutions, as well as the current investment technology estate, ensuring that systems are resilient, reliable, continuously operational, and secure while delivering value to both colleagues and clients. This position is integral to achieving organisational objectives and maintaining project alignment with strategic goals.

Job Duties:

• Conduct pre-analysis of project/small enhancement scope including deliverables and timelines to determine feasibility and potential impact on overall strategic objectives.
• Develop project dashboards and reports that provide accurate information regarding the ongoing progress, risks, and impact of the project to facilitate timely decision-making.
• Drive the development of project/change plans and mechanisms for communication, training, stakeholder engagement, and monitoring of change impacts.
• Implement required information management processes and systems to ensure all project documentation is managed according to organisational and regulatory standards.
• Adopt the delivered solution into business as usual, including all necessary documentation and completion of a close-out report that captures lessons learnt, final financial calculations, and realisation of project benefits.
• Maintain and improve solutions throughout their lifecycle.

Job Requirements:

• First degree or professional qualification in Business Commerce or Project Management (preferred).
• Postgraduate degree in Business Commerce or Project Management (advantageous).
• 8-10 years of significant experience in the end-to-end management of large-scale strategic projects.
• Experience in investments and financial services is preferable.
• Demonstrated ability to adopt practical approaches and articulate information effectively.
• Competence in directing people and documenting facts.
• Ability to embrace change effectively.
• Technical proficiency in project maintenance, management, planning, reporting, and resourcing.
