Client Services Bookkeeper

With around 75 client/family groups, over 250 entities, and more than £3 billion of assets under management across a diverse range of asset classes, our client values a collegiate atmosphere and is backed by a dynamic executive management team and experienced Board, including a former global Chair of STEP. The role involves assisting the Senior Bookkeeper with various bookkeeping responsibilities across Trusts and managed companies. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring accurate financial records and timely reporting, contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounting function. This position is crucial in maintaining compliance and providing insights that aid in decision-making processes. Our client is looking for like-minded individuals who can contribute positively to the team dynamic and adhere to established procedures and policies.

Job Duties:

  • Manage purchases, sales, dividends, corporate actions, and accumulation dividends of investment portfolios.
  • Ensure accurate and timely saving of statements and advices.
  • Post property letting statements and perform bank and portfolio reconciliations.
  • Utilise Excel up to simple formula stage for data management.
  • Assist with the preparation of management information to support the business, interrogating the Group’s accounting and bookkeeping systems to prepare timely financial and management reports.
  • Identify areas of non-compliance or weaknesses and breaches.
  • Engage with Client Services and other internal teams.
  • Adhere to our client's processes, accounting, and finance-related policies, and associated checklists.

Job Requirements:

  • Approximately 3 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting administration role.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative team player.
  • Analytically minded with a proven ability to problem solve.
  • Commitment to promoting our client’s philosophies, values, and mission statement.
