Our client is seeking a Manager in the Data Assurance practice to join their Risk Assurance Services (RAS) team located in Jersey. This full-time position plays a crucial role in managing project delivery teams and ensuring timely delivery of digital audit, data assurance, and technology consulting engagements. You will lead a multi-functional engagement team, interact directly with clients, and support strategic business initiatives, including the adoption of advanced data analytics and AI capabilities.
JOB DUTIES:
- Manage project delivery teams and ownership of delivery timelines.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of audit and advisory standards for technology application.
- Act as a technical subject matter expert (SME) for data analytic solutions in audit and consulting engagements.
- Use data analysis techniques to assess the design and effectiveness of IT General Controls and application controls.
- Foster the adoption of technology and AI within the Risk Assurance team.
- Support strategic business initiatives, including agentic AI capabilities and advanced data acquisition techniques.
- Oversee client project deliverables and assist in creating proposal documents.
- Deliver tailored services to a range of clients, managing diverse assignments while collaborating with clients and the company network.
- Coach and support the development of junior team members.
- Ensure compliance with relevant internal policies.
- Maintain leading-edge knowledge of new technologies.
- Collaborate with leadership to support the growth of the Risk Assurance proposition.
- Build and develop relationships with target clients.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong academic background, such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Information Technology, or Business Studies.
- Professional qualification(s) in relevant fields (accounting or data science) is essential.
- Project management certification, such as PRINCE2 or Agile, would be advantageous.
- Technology risk certifications (ITIL, COBIT, CRISC, ISO27001) are desirable.
- Internal Audit Certification (CIA) is preferred.
- Essential: Experience in managing internal or external audit engagements as a data assurance specialist.
- Excellent project management skills, with strong organisational abilities and a proactive work ethic.
- Strong team-working skills with experience in developing junior staff.
- Well-developed listening, questioning, and report writing skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient relationship-building skills.
- Desirable: Knowledge of the Financial Services sector and familiarity with the local Channel Islands market.
- Data and analytics experience with tools like Alteryx, SQL, Python, Power BI, and the Power Platform.
- Cyber Security and Privacy engagement experience, with a relevant supporting qualification (e.g., CISM, CISSP).
- Familiarity with AI tooling and agentic technology.
- Experience in performing internal audit engagements.
