Our client is seeking a Manager to join their Technology Consulting team. This full-time role is based in Jersey and focuses on delivering assurance services over clients' digital environments, including cyber security measures, data management, and AI systems. You will play a key role in advancing the technology practice while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
JOB DUTIES:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of client-facing and internal technology projects, from initial discovery through to implementation and ongoing support.
- Undertake project management activities, defining scope, plans, milestones and responsibilities, while managing delivery to agreed time, budget, and quality expectations.
- Act as a technical product owner, setting priorities and translating business objectives into clear requirements, user stories, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand their business processes and facilitate workshops to define requirements.
- Manage and prioritise project and product backlogs, balancing business value, dependencies, delivery risks, and team capacity.
- Provide direction to onshore and offshore development teams, coordinating workload and ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, effectively communicating business needs and technical considerations.
- Work with developers and solution architects to challenge designs and ensure solutions are maintainable, secure, and scalable.
- Provide timely reporting to senior stakeholders on project progress, risks, issues, and financial performance.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues, risks, and dependencies to maintain project momentum.
- Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and within the company network.
- Coach and develop junior team members, contributing to the growth of the Technology Consulting practice.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong academic background with a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent practical experience.
- Project Management certification (e.g., AgilePM, PRINCE2, Scrum Master) with a proven track record in applying methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
- Significant experience in managing the end-to-end delivery of technology projects or software-enabled transformations in a professional services environment.
- Experience leading and coordinating software development teams, inclusive of onshore and offshore resources.
- Strong organisational skills with deep project management experience and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Proficient business analysis skills, with experience in requirements definition and stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledgeable in operating as a product owner or technical product owner, including managing a delivery backlog.
- Technical understanding to engage with developers and solution architects, making informed decisions on design and technical risks.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Strong team-working and management abilities, with experience in mentoring junior staff.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
- Familiarity with formal methodologies and adherence to risk, quality, security, and governance standards.
- Understanding of the application of AI tools and technologies in project delivery.
